Default Tire Pressure for 22" rims?

Hi all....just purchased a 2014 LX570 with 30K miles on it.
The first owner took off the 20" factory wheels and replaced them with 22" wheels with Goodyear tires, size 305/40 22.

The original factory 20" wheels/tires I think indicate tire pressure to be around 33 psi.

Having not had custom rims before, do I still use the recommended 33 psi for the current tires, even though wheels are larger? Would the tires themselves have a recommended specific pressure, not just the upper limit?

Thanks for any advice.

Best,
Alan

Different tires and sizes of the tires are different. I would use the psi that is recommended on the wall of the tire.

I'd expect BFG customer support can help out. Good news is that pressures are the same, front and rear.

As OP pointed out, pressure stated on the tire is only with maximum load. Use that and 95% of the time you'll have a bouncy ride and the center of the tread will disappear quickly.

Did you get the original wheels?

You have to use higher pressure with low profile tires, 2" larger in this case, or risk wheel/tire damage.
