I think you will have to upgrade. I am sure people here will have the answer. With the 2016 you do not have to have the cruise control activated as the system is on all the time.

I have 16 LC, I am getting the alarm but would like to see how the system operates in emergency situation. Next time I get some big cardboard boxes will have to try to see how it works. I have asked my wife if she willing to test pedestrian detection by standing on the middle of the road. So far no success in preceding her.

be careful with the PCS. Note the wording, pre-collision system - it does not completely stop vehicle and has flaws.

The system is good, but subarus eyesight is the best out there. Completely stops car and wont allow any acceleration with obtacle in front

I had the alarm go off several times when anticipating the vehicle in front of me completing it's turn off the road.

The system worked perfectly for me, I could not expect better.

Not going to to trade the LX on a Subaru. You are still MUCH more safer in a 6000 pound LX!

LX definitely better than suburu legacy, just saying its PCS could be better
