? I ran 2" spacers on a Ford excursion for 14 yrs and 140k miles, never an issue. 10 yrs and 50k miles on a 911.

You need to buy quality, not crap off of Amazon or China. What negative experience did you have to make your statement? Thnx

Nice 996 turbo. I've got a 2008 911 C4S and was able to put a 325 on it.

1) 1" spacer. The stock wheels are 20x8.5 +60. A spacer makes it effectively +35 offset. Absolutely necessary to clear the upper a-arm.

2) Removed front mudflap. Temporary as I intend to put the flaps back once I've modified them. Additionally, I get just a tad of rub when braking hard and turning the wheels slightly on the inner leading edge of the side skirt. Will resolve this with some trimming when I get around to it.

3) Remove leading edge diffuser and pull forward wheel well liner. This is easy to do by undoing 3 bolts below the bumper that holds the liner, and redrilling holes 1/2" from their original positions to pull it forward. Details and pics on ih8mud by my same screen name.

I love the look! Planning to do the same. Just wanted to ask if I put 1.25” spacers. Would it rub on the fender walls? Thank you
