I have a 2010 LX570 and the inside drivers side door wood panel is cracking. Lexus dealership said I would have to replace the whole panel and that will run around $1200 for it. Anyone else have this problem? Or a cheaper solution?

Hi. Yes here are the pictures. Driver side door panel is one area where there is cracking and the other is near the seat warmer button as shown. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

These cracks are from the clear coat. I have never done this, but you could sand them down and apply clear coat. This might be helpful ,but apply clear coat.

Without looking, I'd guess there may be several specialists on the web that do this daily. Maybe search for automotive wood restoration?

I likewise have a couple defects in my wood trim. A crack near the ashtray/seat heater like yours. And where the memory seats are, the trip is just lifting at the edge.
Let me now what you figure out.
