Default The LX did something strange today

After cranking it up after lunch and pulling out on the highway the entire NAV screen turned to a Easter purple color for about 5 seconds, then went blank and the radio stopped working. Kind of like it rebooted the ML radio/NAV. After 15 seconds or so the radio came back on with the NAV screen showing my map, like it never happened.

Just never seen this on any of my LX units before.

Anyone see anything like this before?

Good to hear, I will keep track. Not worried.

Thanks for letting me know.

The same problem happens to me (once or twice a month). But I mentioned it last time when I serviced my LX at the dealership and it looks O.K. now (but it's just about 6 weeks, it still may return).

Just have about 2500 miles on mine and will wait till I go for the 5k service to bring it up. The LX has been flawless and I am glad to hear that i am not the only one. Looks like a system reboot to me but all is back to normal. On the way to Atlanta this weekend and the the Smokies next week! Loving my large black beast.

You might need a software update, I got mine updated on the previous 16" and it was fine after that, i am thinking to bring mine 17" for the software update as well

I had a similar sequence of weird behavior on the 2010 LX, actually, where either (1) upon start, the screen would not quite boot up and climate/radio were inoperable for a little while or (2) the system would do a reboot of sorts (like what you described) on occasion. Firmware updates looked like they might have helped initially but did not eliminate the issue, and nobody had any idea what the problem was. Last time I saw this was at least a couple years ago, and it did not surface again since up until trade-in day on March 1 of this year.

I will let Lexus worry about it. Only happened one time and not since. They should update at he 5K if there is one.

Happy Easter everyone!
