Little-known/less-obvious LX570 updates...
I'll begin by saying that since I went from MY2010 to MY2017, there's a chance some things had been updated before the 2016 refresh. However, given Lexus' history with the LX, I suspect not.
At any rate, the first thing I'll mention is the ability to lock the truck while the liftgate is coming down. Does it matter? Yes, it does, especially when I am rushing to take my son into pre-school!
The "old" LX, when you tried to lock it, would just beep incessantly until the liftgate was shut, at which time you would have to try again to lock it. This one? When I touch any handle with the liftgate closing, the doors lock immediately, and the second the liftgate latches, the mirrors fold, and the locking "sequence" is complete. It's all about the little things in life...
There are more little things that are eluding me at the moment, but I am very curious to see others' observations.

I love the way the RX is done where you push the back door button twice and it lowers the door and locks all doors at one time. The LX is an improvement but still not as advanced at the RX in this respect.

Along these lines, one thing I recently learned about the RX is that you can adjust the height to which the liftgate rises - yet another feature we don't have. In fairness (on this particular feature), however, LX uses regular shocks to keep the liftgate open and a linkage for power open. RX (if memory serves me right) uses a linear actuator for opening and closing, and this setup lends itself well to the position control that is at work in this feature.
