Cost/value of CPO

Pole Position
I think value of CPO is $2k to $2,500. I bought CPO for our LX and also extended the warranty by another 25k miles (don't remember what that cost me). About 6 months ago our air/hydraulic suspension was leaking and it was covered under CPO program. That repair on its own covered the CPO premium. This is the only Lexus vehicle we've purchased under CPO plan, on all others we haven't had any sort of warranty coverage and had no major issues whatsoever. We've owned 5 Lexus vehicles over the last 12 years and held some up until 250k miles. My personal comfort level on these newer models that use a ton more technology and computers would be to have CPO.

I never even bothered to see how long it sat in inventory.
I'd say about 5%. I got a good deal on the vehicle per what KBB was telling me I should pay at the time.[/QUOTE
Thanks. I'd be very happy with 5% off ask. Was the car in their inventory a while? Just curious if this was an extreme case or more of a standard target for a price reduction.

True. I did ensure I got it at the proper price per what KBB was saying the value was. I'll add this to my checklist of items when negotiating any future purchases.
