Default interest in my new 2018 21in wheels and tires?

I am going to sell my wheels and tires from my 2018. They are flawless and have about 600 miles on them, but will likely go up 100-200 before I replace them.

Detroit Wheel and Tire is offering me $900 for the set of wheels and tires, plus they pay the shipping. I contacted them as I am likely going to pick up a set of black chrome Tundra 20s from them.

Considering that the tiers are about $400 each, that is a low price, but I get it.

Would anyone be interested in this set at a higher price? Ill probably put them up on Craigslists as well, just to see if anyone in the L.A. area is interested. I rather them go to an LX owner, than a dealer.

The 21" wheels are a dime a dozen since most of the LX570 came with the 21" so they are hard to sell. Even owners that have 20" rather have smaller tires and rims (for lower cost) than the 21". I would just sell them to the dealer if you can't get rid of them on craigslist.

Right, the wheels are readily available, but tires with 600 miles are not. Since most of the LXs that were sold recently had the 21s, I’m betting there might be some folks who would like to save money on a like-new set of tires, and maybe replace a scuffed wheel or two...They’re definitely not worth the 2k I’ve seen on eBay, but if I was keeping the stock setup, I’d buy five more new rims, tires and TPMS for $1200...

21's are somewhat of a Pariah as your tire choices, as you've probably found out, are severely limited. I went with 18's for a more comfortable ride on asphalt and dirt, not to mention plenty of tire choices. I also ditched the P-rated tires and went instead with LT's...I cannot understand why a 3-ton unloaded truck that can tow and / or haul a lot more doesn't come with LT's from the factory.

P tires are usually lighter, more comfortable, less noisy... I think that for most typical LX (and also Land Cruiser) drivers work better (unfortunately).

I kept my 21" rims and tires when I put on 18" land Cruiser rims and Michelin Defender LTX tires. My 21" wheels also have about 1000 miles on them. I figured I'd keep them as spares and for when I sell the car.

Present company excluded,

When we're in the boondocks, I appreciate LT load range E tires on both the LX and Land Cruiser.
