Rear dynamic turn signals installed

You can not simply “enable” it. For NA version, there is no logic (sequential drive board) inside light housing). It is the same for rear. That is why when I did for rear lights, I have to replace the out ones as well because the logic board is build into the rear corner lights.

As for front, they are all plug and play if replace with Asian or European spec headlights with sequential turn signals. But it just cost for those headlights didn’t make any economic sense to replace them. I would only consider to do so if one went bad and needs to replaced in the future. But with OEM quality on those lights from Japan, it is most like to live as long as the LX…….

it’s really a question of personal preference, hard to put definitive value to it. For me, the cost for those lights was minimal compare to LX and overall ownership of the LX. More importantly, the process of learning of its wiring as well as be able to take things apart and accomplish a diy project, for me is worth everything. Same principle as I did for retrofit the fully functioning power tailgate…..

Hi, I have the problem that those turn signals of the door, don’t work at all, which could be the problem? A fusible? Or conexión? I bought this LX570 year 2018 second hand last week.
also the memory adjustment for driver seat, does not work too, and the “welcome” light with the word “LEXUS” which come from of mirros sides does not appear.
Please help me what to do.
Thank you very much.

Does it matter which wires you choose to tap into? Slightly confused as to which wires were exactly tapped into. Passenger corner light get tapped into passenger tailgate light connection? Any advice would be helpful!

also to remember, just providing the wires WILL NOT provide sequential function, tail combination lights both inner and outer ones need also to be replaced with Asia spec lights since the driver was build into the lights. The part # is also listed in earlier posts.

@hzhao this thread is amazing! I sincerely appreciate your documenting your work.
Not to hijack this post, but did you ever retry the cornering lights and the rear fog lights? I've got a '19 LX and I wanted to go down this path. I see that j0mama was about to get around to making the cornering lights work, but ultimately didn't.

@atomic8778 No. I have not done those two. Corner lights require not only the light assembly, not also to replace the lighting control ECU, which just make it cost preventive to do. As for the rear fog, it is easy to do if using non-OEM approach by adding the separate dash mounted switch. However, if make it OEM, that will result to replace light control ECU again. At the end, I de died to put it off for now.

@hzhao Ah gotcha, just to recap then, hopefully I was following the thread correctly:
1. The cornering lights lighting control ECU is the same ECU that would enable sequential front turn signals?
2. Is that then the same lighting ECU that would enable rear fogs for the OEM look?
If that's all correct, then it sounds like it may be a matter of one ECU that would knock out three projects: cornering light, sequential front, and rear fogs. I suspect it's not that simple...but here's to hoping you can chime in and tell me it is!
