For current owners with the current gen LX in a modern home garage:
Will the trunk liftgate open fully with the garage door closed?(is there enough room?)
My 2017 GX has no problem with the rear sidegate opening about 3/4th of the way without banging the clised garage door...
I checked the dimensions for both GX & LX and noticed LX is 7 inches longer.
Any feedback from current owners will be appreciated and photos will be great. Thx.

As long as you have enough depth of garage, say you have enough rooms behind LX (about 2 to 3 feet to the door), you should be OK. Since LX has the split tail door.

Just BECAREFUL and do a few test runs to see how much room is left behind the tailgate area.

When we first got the new LX570, my wife opened the tailgate while AT THE SAME TIME opened the garage door AND the LX570 was parked too far back to the garage door......NEEDLESS to say, there was a fight between the LX570 AND THE GARAGG DOOR!?! THE LX570 WON and the garage door panels got deformed and damaged. Cost around several hundred dollars to fix the garage door panels.

Fast forward about a year later.....my wife opened the garage door via remote inside the LX570. INSTEAD of waiting for the garage door to FULLY open to the top she proceeded to drive into the garage and scraped the bottom edge of the garage door. The LX570 WON AGAIN and the bottom panel of the garage door got deformed again. Got it fixef again!!!

NEW RULE FOR US:. NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO OPEN THE REAR TAILGATE AND THE LX570 MUST BE STATIONARY AND NOT MOVING WHILE THE GARAGE DOOR IS IN MOTION UP OR DOWN UNTIL THE GARAGE DOOR HAS STOPPED MOVING !!!
