New to Me 2015 LX
After starting off in the market for a GX, and asking tons of questions from both groups, I finally found my vehicle while on vacation in Pensacola last week while a hurricane was approaching.....
It is a 2015 LX 570 in Starfire Pearl with Parchment interior. It came equipped with luxury package, preferred accessory package, Mark Levinson audio, intuitive park assist, and rear DVD entertainment system. It also had dealer installed Clear Bra and tinted front windows when originally sold.
It has 41k miles and looks in near new condition, both inside and out, except for a couple of very small chips in paint (where clear bra wasn't installed).
One thing I can't quite figure out is that there is a sticker on the driver's window called Ultra Polysteel. I did a Google search and it said it was an interior and exterior protection system. I don't know if that means the exterior Clear Bra, some sort of Ceramic paint coating, some sort of interior leather treatment, or a combination of everything. If anyone has any info that would be great!
Btw, I am researching the best nano/ceramic/quartz application to add to the exterior (and maybe interior). I notice the exterior paint doesn't bead water at all, and I am looking to add something to give it a glass shine and keep it easier to clean. I am also looking for something to help keep interior looking new. If anyone has suggestions let me know. There is a local shop that is a Ceramic Pro and IGL Kenzo installer. Not sure if anyone has any experience with those items.
Thanks for all your help in my pre-purchase. I'm sure I will have more questions post purchase.

Congrats!!! Your LX has the same colors inside and out.
I had my 2013 LX570, bought new, back in 2013 treated with some kind of ceramic/nano/quartz BOTH inside and out prior to delivery. It cost too much in my opinion, but worth it over the long run (if you are leasing the LX, then not worth it.)
I found it very convenient bc even to this day some 5 years later, it still beads well. All we did is wash it. Sometimes we get lazy and go through touchless car washes. Probably I'll have it recoated.
So I did ceramic quartz coating for my other cars at home with CarPro' ceramic coating bought on Amazon. I had posted some information on my other posts. There are lots of YouTube videos on the subject. The KEY is in the prep BEFORE application. The shine afterwards is INCREDIBLE!!!! A bottle of the stuff (enough to do 2 to 3 cars) is around $89 or so. Again, it is the time and effort (and the know how) you would be paying someone else to do it. I enjoy seeing the fruits of my work. Besides I put my kids to work on it too. Also I use an electric random orbitor to polish, do we don't sweat too much.

I know it wasn't the best deal I could have found, especially since it's not a CPO, but I thought it was in such good shape that I thought it was worth it. Btw, it's still under manufacturer warranty until next November. Other than a couple of very small paint chips it looks brand new, both inside and out.
The only two options it doesn't have are the remote start and glass break alarm. I don't have a need for remote start since it's garage kept 99% of the time, but the alarm might be something I add later on.

I did have to give up a few extra features on the 2015 LX for having to drop down a couple years vs the 2017 GX I was looking at. I don't have the Drivers Support Package that I really liked, nor the full LED headlights. But, I did get the radar cruiser control which I just loved on an 8 hr drive. It really was amazing. Btw, the HID lights on the LX are great. No regrets there.

Our LX570 came with the remote start and the glass breakage sensor.
We DID NOT know the remote start will shut off the engine as soon as the door is open and will need to restart the engine. This is an inconvenience. We only used this feature a hand full of times while we were in the cold mountains.
The glass breakage feature is nice to have, but ours lives the the garage most of the time.

I don't mind. The asking price was $55k. I was able to get them down to $51k. The dealer general manager showed me his inventory sheet of all his vehicles that showed he had $51k in the LX (btw, I'm very skeptical about that sheet. It's likely a selling tactic). However, he did give me an extra $1k on my trade in which brought it in line with what I had planned on selling it outright. That made the deal sweet enough for me to take because I didn't have to worry about selling mine, plus I got the trade in tax savings, and I didn't have to have my wife drive one of the vehicles 8 hours back home (the last part was worth the trade in. I never would have heard the end of that . To me, that made it match my self imposed $50k cap for purchasing the LX.

That's what we like too. We have a massive amount of X5s, Escalades, QXs, Range Rover Sports, and GLSs...but much more rare to see an LX. I see more MB Gs than LXs!
