Default 2018 lx 570

I am very close to purchasing a 2018 LX 570 in black with cabernet interior. The purchase price I have been quoted is $ 87,000.00. The MSRP is $ 99,800.00. I took the LX 570 and demo'd it for a day. I am very impressed. I really am shocked at all the very bad automotive reviews it gets in social media. I honestly feel just about the opposite of all the expert reviews I have seen on youtube that pretty much rank it last in class. I have driven a new Lincoln Navigator, and I would personally still take the LX 570. Although the only problem I am having is the depreciation that the LX 570 takes after purchase. I am currently driving a 2017 ford raptor, which I currently love, but I like the LX 570 more. But the only issue that is making me not pull the trigger is that after 4 to 5 years the LX 570 worth 40-50 percent on the dollar from what you paid for it, where as the ford raptor is worth around 65-70 percent on the dollar after 4-5 years. That is a lot of money to throw away over 4-5 years. I know the LX is built better, it is built to last 20 years minimum, and the luxury and driving dynamics are better. Is it as fast as the raptor ? no. Is it as capable off road ? very close, but no. Does it hold its value better ? no. But I still like it better.

Just curious how other LX 570 owners feel about the terrible depreciation of the LX 570.

Thank you.

Raptor and LX = apples and oranges. Check series 200 depreciation after 5-10 years. If you don't want to "throw away" you money, lease it as a business expense, if you can.

Thank you. The LX 570 would be my personal vehicle. I can not write it off.

To be quite honest the lx wil deprecate the least out of any Lexus models out there. I would not worry about that. To me there isn’t any suv that’s made like the lx570 apart from the land cruiser.

the raptors are really nice but the lx would spoil you. I would pull the trigger. On the mrsp you can get close to 82-83k in 2018s if still left.

$ 82-$ 83,000.00 will get you a base model lx 570.

the fully loaded LX 570’s seem to be going for $ 85,000.00 to $ 87,000.00.

If you are worried about depreciation maybe you should be looking for a dealer certified pre-owned LX.

I agree. I have no issue with purchasing a perfectly maintained truck that's a few years old...nice to think someone else ate the depreciation.

I just purchased a 2019 at a decent discount. I'm not too worried about depreciation as i intend on holding on to this vehicle. from what i see the deprecation is above average in the car industry. Other then a select few vehicles (Raptor is the only one that comes to mind) this is about as good as it gets. I actually cross shopped against a raptor and really didn't like the extra width and length. the lx is already a big car
