Default Can you add the cool box after purchase?

Not sure I want to be forced to spec the rear entertainment system to get the cool box accessory. Is this something I can add post-purchase of a new LX? Thx.

You could definitely retro-fit the console cooler, but you are also looking at installing additional wiring, not to mention air conditioning lines. I'd guess the word "spendy" probably would adequately cover the job.

Hmm. Thx. was thinking the unit was self-contained. you mean the ac ducts or lines for the rear seats thru the console? or ac lines to the cooler itself? This changes my perspective. thx again.

I do mean both ducting and freon lines for both. Also, unsure if the cool box drops into it's own console, or if the console is common to both cool box or no cool box.

I've only driven one 200 series without the cool box...it was a 2011 LX and opening the console lid got you a bunch of storage...only organizational feature was a plastic bucket with handle. We passed on that truck since it had the handling of a large fishing boat.

Operation of the Cool Box is dependent on the A/C being also on, no driving with the windows open and
the A/C turned off.
