2016 Lexus lx 570 rear entertainment system. Only one screen in the backseat plays. Yet when I press the buttons for the menu for the non working screen, it shows the options. But when playing movies or anything else is would turn black. Any help would be appreciated

Since you have the menu display, it can ruled out the power issue. What about other sources, such as just listening radio, or using external source by plug in at bottom of center console. If everything only works on one. Then you may have a control unit problem. It should still under warranty as you stated it is on 2016 LX.

I'll take care of minor fixes during the warranty period, but although you might have a minor problem, it could be a nightmare to access and repair...that assumes you know the cause.
If it were mine, I'd drop it off at a dealer and call ahead to guarantee a loaner.
Good luck and please report back with what happens.

This is a MAJOR headache for the dealer because the 3rd party warranty provider and the display manufacturer all play hot potatoe because a replacement display is $$$$.
If you do not have a warranty then someone who can replace the display is the way to go.
Have in writing before leaving your vehicle for repairs that the loaner vehicle is paid for until repairs completed.
If you do not have warranty then you must make other arrangements, or not.
The display pivot mechanism and bezel/housing is excellent quality...
However, the display is no iPad
