This looks like episode 2 following the Toyota/BMW Supra, which hasn't really been bothered by crowds flocking to a dealer.

I sat in an X7 today. It is nicer than the current LX 570 inside for the same price (100K) and the interior tech is just better (Carplay, Digital Dash, etc).
Problem is, you need lots of proprietary tools instead of normal metric sockets to work on it, the resale is historically weak, the parts are very expensive, and there are lots of problems that pop up with any kind of miles. Best part of the cars is the ZF 8 speed.
Just my experience from spending 3 years working for BMW and 2 for Lexus.
