Default Roof Rail Cross Bars for 2019 LX570

Just got a 2019 LX570 and I need the cross bars for the roof rails. I plan on using the large Thule box and I am trying to determine if If I should get the factory ones or the Thule Aeroblade Edge ones. Are the Thule
ones higher off the truck? Would love some input on what you did and why.

i am still looking also....I am able to get the bars at cost from the dealer, which is about $200. However, just not sure about them vs aftermarket.

It appears that the Thule ones are a little higher off the roof which would most likely help to lift the cargo box a little higher so the rear hatch doesn't hit it when opening. I have the largest box and want to be sure the cross bars I get work well. I would like your $200 price for the factory if they work Hoping someone chimes in that has the Thule.

for the pair about $200......I think the sale price is round 450-495 if I remember, crazy!

I need to call them tomorrow and will double check......See my post on the wiring harness? I am almost positive the dealer should had installed that vs just giving it to me at deliver.

There is no installation of the wiring harness, other than plugging it into the trailer socket up a bit on the right side under the bumper. Normally, it's packed in the back of the left side 3rd row seat...not sure where they put it on a 2-row LX.

I have the factory crossbars and the Thule. I'll post a pic in a minute.

I'm an OEM guy if I can help it. And my wife did NOT like the appearance of the aftermarket crossbars anyway, so an easy decision for us.

Nice thing is it still fits in the garage when we want her in there. Pretty happy with the box, picked it up during the Founder's sale at REI...had to order it but got the discount. Easy install, good looking, big. We have 6 kids so size matters.

Realized I don't have a picture of it on the LX, but I have a Thule Atlantis 1800, the biggest size available at the time I got it. I use the factory crossbars on my 2014, the 2015 and previous have elevated roof rails, the 2016+ I see are flush mount. the Box fits perfect on the factory cross bars, but on the wagon I just bought it has flush roof rails and I got the Thule WingBar Evo Cross Bars. The nice thing about Yakima and Thule is you can get the matching locks, I have Thule matching locks for all 3 cars and all accessories. Personal preference but I like the slightly extended look of the cross bars.

THULE Atlantis 1800

Finally found out the difference. The OEM has a weight capacity of 154 pounds and the Thule has a weight capacity of 165 pounds. Thules bars are stronger and don’t bend like the OEM. Looks like I’ll take the extra weight and grab the Thule bars.

Yes, I’ve had them for almost a year now and love them. I leave them on the car all the time as I like the look and there is zero wind noise. Works great with my Thule Atlantis box.
