I just wish the LX had a little more power or maybe an exclusive engine, not shared with other things, but then again I read an MT or C&D article that made it sound like LX feels torquier than an Escalade, that the torque comes on way lower.

BUT....then again, I've never experienced the 5.7. I know the 4.3 in my LS is literally perfect so I'm sure I'll be fine.

Somehow I've never understood the Escalade. Chevy has the Tahoe, a step up is the Yukon from GMC and then you have the nearly identical Escalade. The differences between the LC and the LX are far greater than the differences between the GMC and the Cadillac.

It took until this current generation, but there is actually a significant difference now. The interiors are plush and 100% different/better. I think it's one of the best looking vehicles on the road.

I'd say it's about the same, difference between Yukon/Escalade and LC/LX.

The thing is, I'm a fan of GM trucks, but the platform costs half as much.

A LC is $85,000 worth of all of the might of Toyota. Then the Lexus stuff is the cherry on top.

In a more difficult, rocky terrain, the results would be very different. I know why I have my LX as a daily driver and for family trips with some easy/moderate offroading. I have my slightly modified JL Wrangler Rubicon 4DR (2" Mopar lift, 35" BFG KO2 tires) for more difficult offroad trails like Rubicon trail etc. As I am older, I stopped doing extreme trails like Fordyce Creek.

The test would have also had more credibility if they'd have used the same tires on all the cars.
