So, as we speak a Beatsonic representative is installing their Apple CarPlay product in my 2016 LX570. They have just released their product, and I am one of the first wave of installs. The representative came down from LA area today and is installing the units in both my wife’s 2016 ES 300H and my 2016 LX 570 in my driveway. I got what I think is a great price for the units and the installs and have been waiting for this. The install is complete in the ES, and he is still working on the LX, and it works great in the ES. More details and pictures to follow.
Cord running out of glove box to use to plug in IPhone or Android Socket to plug in cord inside glovebox added by the Beatsonic Unit install
Here are some photos of the completed install of the Beatsonic unit—- that provides both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto depending on what type of phone is being plugged in, in my wife’s ES. Note, I have a red IPhone cord plugged into the socket in the glove box— could use a less obtrusive color if I wanted to do so. No other changes to the inside of the car
Note, I have no affiliation with Beatsonic. Just a satisfied customer and long time LX470 and LX570 owner.

2013-2018 Lexus ES
My plan is to keep the LX 570 for 4 to 6 more years. Very happy with it and it is my daily driver, with occasional long drives so I get a lot of use out of my navigation and audio systems on a daily basis. My only dissatisfaction with the truck is the absence of Apple Car Play or Android Auto. My thought is that the aftermarket product like this is worth it if it keeps me in this truck for a longer period of time, versus buying something new. It also looks like we are two years away from the LX new model that would likely have Apple CarPlay. My uses for this are having texts read to me easily, maps and destinations, Pandora, easier scrolling and access to podcasts and easier access to Music Playlists. I hate having to log in and manage the very limited Lexus Enform Apps, and inability to add destinations and routing through Siri to the maps on the screen while I am driving. Will be interesting to see how this new system works with the problem the LX570 has with the current Siri access not working when the low speed front camera is being displayed.

BeatSonic installation complete…took about 2:45 hrs.
it was not difficult, very happy with the product and have wireless CarPlay
connects automatically but you have to hold the map button down a couple of seconds to being up the CarPlay screen every time you turn on the car.
I am going to mount the USB in the dash just under the start button in the spare slot.
I might order a premade one first…if it fits, great, if not, I will dremmel the blank and epoxy the usb to the blank.
It will be another charging port and backup interface to the beatsonic.
