Default Hunting for 2013-2014 LX570 states to Avoid

Need help if buying out of State ! What States to Avoid due to rust issues. I live in Colorado and there are not that many 570's available here plus with supply and demand the local ones are higher priced . I moved here from Indiana and even with Ziebart and other undercoatings vehicles would just rust from the inside out . Trying to find the lowest mileage 570 with the best service records . Need help from the group which States i should avoid as I don't want one with rust .

You can find a list of states that do not use salt on winter roads with a little google.

As one example, our '01 LX lived in Bend, OR until 2009 and then moved to Idaho...not a spec of rust.

Our '13 Land Cruiser was sold in Kalispell, MT and relocated to Idaho in 2015...no rust under or on her either.

What you're finding is typical...~7000 200 series are exported to the North American market...around 3000 Land Cruisers and 4000 LX...and that's per year. You can contrast that to > 70K 4Runners.

In the northwest, reliability is a major reason for buying Toyota. That means most are bought as keepers and are maintained as such, so you're looking at more $$$ for a good one.

I'd register on ih8mud.com and go to the 200 series section here...ih8mud.com, 200 series tech forum . Read the FAQ section and you'll see what's necessary for a pre-purchase inspection. Make sure it's done by a shop or dealer NOT connected with the sale.

Pics of your truck once you find one would be great.

I would suggest you look at those from the south and dry states like Texas, Arizona,

Yes, TXi s a good place to look. There are tons of LX570s here, but avoid houston area vehichles because of unreported flood damage.
