Default New 2020 LX Price

Any help is appreciated.

I live in AZ and am buying a new 2020 LX. First dealership is offering $4800 off MSRP through Costco plus the $3,000 in Lexus Cash Rebate of a 3 Row LX.

Any advice on getting a better deal? Preferred dealership? Any idea if Lexus Cash will go up in February or March?

I am thinking 10-12% off MSRP is a good final price. Is that the right range to shoot for?

Appreciate the help!

Depends on how much you want to wait; I think 12% is pretty good for early in the year, if you want lets say 6-8 months then you would be in the 15%+ range.

Would it make sense for you to get a 19 LX? They had more Lexus cash (when I last checked in Dec) and I don't think there are material changes or differences, just availability of color and such...

Other timing impact is when the 2021 Tahoe's and Yukon's launch (this summer?) that'll increase the competition for the LX which should increase incentives on a SUV that has pretty much remained unchanged (mechanically) since 2008

Texas sells a lot of Lexi vehicles....I'm told Sewell is a pretty good place for competitive pricing. If you're looking for a leftover 19, I'd email anyone and everyone; if you're looking at a 2020 specifically, email the bigger Lexus dealerships who I assume move more volume and may be able to give better pricing breaks.

On Autotrader I'm seeing low-mileage 18 LX570's in the 80s as well...

With rebates at only $3k I’d wait if you can. I think rebates were as high as $6 or $7k last year at some point, at least in my area.

It's great to drive & own!
Just some options to consider (if you are open to used)
- 18 L/Certified with 10k miles for $70k https://www.ipacket.info/JTJHY7AX8J4271105
- 19 L/Certified with 13k miles and 20" rims for $78k https://www.reliablelexus.com/certif...285d7b92b3.htm (I personally dislike the 21's)

Best times for Lexus usually is the "December to Remember" event which just passed

Thank you Wandl. All great suggestions! Any luck with third party auto brokers? Do they get you a better deal?

A couple friends have used Tom (https://kinja.com/tommcparland) before with good results, but the inventory availability of LX is very different than finding a run-of-the-mill car (i.e. Camry, ES) so not sure what you'll get for your $$. My personal stance is negotiate via email and get a OTD price (i.e. for financing) and most Lexus dealerships are upfront, they can't risk the reputation of a "slim shady" dealer.

A broker is saying he can get me $20k off MSRP for a demo 2020 LX under 1,000 miles. Is that even possible?

that sounds really good - $20k off a new LX based on my research is awesome, especially for under 1k miles! Make sure you check on rebate/incentive qualification (i.e. previous Lexus owner/loyalty), as I'm curious why a dealer is selling a 2020 demo so early in 2020...

It sounds too good to be true, and worries me with a third party (broker) involved. Have you ever heard of 20% or more off a current year model, even with it being a demo? the broker is a guy with a site online, never met him.

Email directly to all Lexus dealers is the best way. I bought mine in December 2018. It was a golf event demo model with 300 miles on it. Fully loaded $99,850 msrp got it for $81k + taxes.
