Default 2017 LX Dash Speakers sound distorted and "scratchy" at low temperatures

I have an issue with my 2017 LX570 that is very aggravating to me since the dealer is unable to fix it. Whenever the temperatures are around 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit the right dash speaker is very distorted and "scratchy"! This situation goes away as the vehicle's interior warms up. When I get to the dealer to address this aggravating problem, the sound system sounds fine.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?? In have nothing but respect for the Mark Levinson Sound System when it is at the property operating temperature but when the interior temps are cold, it drives me crazy.

Move to a warmer climate. On a serious note: why not leave it at the dealer so that they can try to replicate the issue?

Hello,
I have done that. The dealer will pull the car inside the service area and by the time the technician starts to work on it, the inside of the car is warm enough so that the problem does not become evident. Frustrating for the dealer and me as well. Thanks for your answer!

PS. I would love to move to a warmer climate...... at my age sadly that's not an option anymore!

Generally when a speaker sounds scratchy, it is an issue with the voice coil. Although I have never hear if it being affected by temperature other than being caused by overheating.
If that is the issue, you have to rebuild the speaker or replace it.
