I just picked up a super nice one owner dealer serviced 2013 with 95k miles this afternoon. I found that the front camera does not work. The screen comes up either automatically or manually showing the passenger side mirror camera but the entire large box where the front camera is supposed to be is black.
My issue is just like this thread here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lx-...a-to-work.html
I bought the truck thinking the camera wouldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks being that the quality is so low and such. NOPE! It's like $1,000. I found a used one at around $400 but that is still a lot of money for a crappy camera. I'd like to fix it but don't want to throw a camera at it without knowing that is exactly what is wrong. I suppose I could check the connector for power and make sure there isn't a wiring issue first.
Is this somewhat common for these trucks?

So, it's fine. We got home from the dealer late and I didn't have time to dig around any. Turns out the thing wasn't plugged in...
The bumper cover appears to have been off at some point. The connector on that camera has an unusually tight weather seal, for obvious reasons. Pretty harsh environment up there. Whoever was doing that work must not have fully engaged it.
This truck has perfect dealer history since new. Just goes to show you that even the perfect pedigree vehicles can be flawed.
I also found the coolant reservoir empty and the engine cover all jacked up on the rear supports.
