problem with LX 570 , 2010
hello all ,
i am using lexus lx570 2010 from one year. There is a fault in my car . if the car will be parked for three or four days , the battery will dead . it is happening with me from last year . I have changed one starter motor and two batteries only because of this . I checked with the auto expert , he said that some function in the car continuously working and using the battery that’s why it is always dead with in three or four days. Can anybody help for this problem . i live in UAE and in local market mechanics are confused to find the reason.

battery drain / short is tough to diag....unless vehicle had been in an accident / repair and you can probably back trace the problem around the impacted area.... check the amplifier (stereo sys) or even the head unit for excessive draw (not specifically for your vehicle but I worked on other manufaturers' cars before and one manufacturer had issues w/ the amp causing a draw...). also i m not sure how if the lexus cuts off the accessories outlet (the usb and the cig adapter)..but check those areas too... unplug any gadgets u have connected to those ports...and go from there...

Remove the negative battery terminal & place a Ohm meter between the cable & the battery post. Anything over .03 amps is high & will drain the battery. To isolate the circuit remove a fuse 1 @ a time until the draw goes away.
(If that circuit is OK put the fuse back in) Generally you need to wait a 1/2 hour for the computers to go to sleep before pulling fuses.

Years ago, pulling fuses to look for draw was quick and easy. For example, all the fuses in my old BWW are in a single fuse and relay box right next to the battery. In newer cars, there are likely multiple fuse locations, many of which require you to crawl under the dash, pull a fuse, then the extricate yourself to go to the battery to check the meter, then repeat. A second set of eyes at the meter while you pull fuses is a big time and physical effort saver.
My most recent experience battery problem with my LX was due to a device plugged into the vehicle to monitor driving, supplied by my insurance company. It would drain the battery to no-start overnight.
If you have any add-on electrical accessories, consider checking those circuits/fuses first.
