thank you,

Unexpected turn of events but congrats. I thought money was a part of the equation when you were looking at 16’s and talked of haggling price down to mid 50’s. But I guess not if you just spent 40k more Nice upgrade from the Pilot!
Thanks for your input! entertainment package is not a huge deal for us. Kids have iPads or phone to entertainment. We drove a 2009 Pilot for 11 years without any so we would be okay without it.
This vehicle coming from a corporate lease, would it concern you?
I will check these links.
Corporate lease would not concern me, most small business owners choose to purchase vehicles this way. I agree with you on the entetainment package, with the evolution of tablets, phones, personal devises etc this option has gone to the way side, especially if you are keeping the vehicle for the long haul. We have 2011 LX 570 purchased in the same manner with 50K miles By the way the kids have never used the entertainment system but the ML sound system is an amazing must have. Today the truck has 110K miles and is as solid as purchased. It came with new Michelin tires that lasted 55K miles, just replaced them. You will go though brake pads faster than a normal vehicle due to the weight.....hope this helps
I have a GX470 (2007), and my dad had a 2005 LX470 that was replaced with 2018 LX560 in early 2019 with less than 9K miles. It was for a University professor that used it for his commute and long vacations in Tahoe and Utah. Vehicle underside was inspected by Lexus dealer for some rust and given an OK condition even with signs of rust and we were refered to a place in SF bayrea for what they call seal & protection. as an engineer and material background, the use of high carbon steel or regular carboin in some areas for strength and lighter weight, causes surface rust only and rarely propagate into the Chassis unless being in a serious accident. The surface treatment obviously helped to protect the undeside and the rust marks almost completely disappeared and the vehicle is as good as new now, being in service for 2 years and 4 months now.
Thes Lexus SUV's drives and built like tanks. One observation though is that the 2018 uses more gas, having a larger engine. But the newer LX drives better and is more stable on curves compared to the older 2005 LX. The newer suspension has a lot to do with this stability.

Big changes. First we were shopping for a GX but too small and once my wife sat in the LX I knew it was over. Because if it was up to me I’d would be driving in a LC Heritage edition right now. Again, appreciate all your help!

Good to hear. I think when the Pilot dies I’ll go for a used LC or GX. Thanks for your help

I agree 200%. I test drove an LX at my local dealer, the truck had around 11K on it after 2 years. To me, it handled like a large boat and the 8 speed transmission shifted after a bit of wandering between gears. I found a low mileage one-owner Land Cruiser in Spokane and flew up the next morning, bought it, and drove it home. Completely different feel than the LX...glad I made the choice.
I really admire that matte finish on the light wood compared to the glossy "linear espresso" on mine. Would like to see more of the matte. (Notwithstanding the dust in my photo)

I like your style...did you talk Land Cruiser Heritage to your wife??
Wife developed the skills to jump a horse over artificial obstacles. I do not even think about how much money a handmade saddle to fit her and the horse cost, and she has 3 or 4.
Beyond that, her horse is a Dutch warmblood. He has his own passport and flew from Rotterdam to SFO non-stop on a 747SP. Don't even ask...

Just middle class level here. Three boys out of college & productive citizens. Took up farming around 15+ years ago...hardest work I've experienced. I grow hay for the horses.
