Default 2015 Tow Hitch Cover

Hi all!

New (used) owner here, and I'm seeking a part. Specifically, the tow hitch cover on the rear bumper.

Here's a random photo:

My color is the silver metallic.

I'm okay with the covered one like above, or something like this:

Can someone help me find the right part? Thank you!!

I searched the forums, found an old thread but it was from 2012. I didn't know if I should bump that or start a new one.

I needed one for a '13...ordered from my Toyota dealer and it came in within a week. Dealer will have a PN, but you'll need to give them the paint code...you'll find it on the sticker that you'll see when you open the driver's door.

WHERE did you find the pic of the hitch cover with the open cavity (your last pic). I would have opted for that if I knew it existed, and I didn't see it on any Lexus or Toyota (they're the same PN) parts diagram or listing.

hey hth,

Thank you!!

I really appreciate the guidance, I'll reach out to my dealer.

Here's where I found the cover with the hole (I agree, it's great!) - https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Pcs-OEM-N...cAAOSwW9Fe8zgl.

I cant seem to find it in silver and not sure i want to go through the hassle of re-painting it!

I found the correct paint code on line...bought a 6-pak of spray cans. It's lacquer based and dries very quickly. DIY was easy.

I may be missing something here. I assume the hitch ball mount goes through the bumper cover hole into the receiver. But where is the access to hook up your trailer safety chains? Is the hole wide enough to get chains, hitch pin and clip, and the ball mount through it?

Anyone got a picture to share of a trailer hooked up with this cover in place?

It looks to me like it's for a pintle hitch, not a ball hitch. Take a close look at the black LX in the picture...
