Default Accident, now BSM error

Just purchased a 2017 LX570 in May. It was hit in a parking lot last night. Huge bummer, but the driver was honest and reported it.

Question is, I have received a couple repair estimates, one addressed it, one didn’t...I am receiving a BSM error message. One body shop said that the monitor is behind the bumper cover on that corner and is probably damaged...that makes sense. He also mentioned that after it’s replaced it will need to be recalibrated.

Anyone here have any experience with this? Just want to make sure it’s repaired correctly.

Thanks in advance!

I have not had a BSM replaced, but i did have my windshield replaced a few months back. The dealer had to run calibration on all of the sensor behind the glass (by the mirror). it cost 1.5 hours of labor to do so. I'd assume it's the same once they replace the BSM sensor. Call the dealer and ask if it sounds right and an estimate. They will be familiar.
