My '13 has a key fob sender. I take it apart with a very small phillips screwdriver. Inside is a coin battery you can find on Amazon or locally.
The local lexus dealer charges ~ $15 for the battery but changes it for you. It's less than a 5 minute diy. I keep a spare or 2 in the truck.
When the battery gets low, I get a message on the dash.
