Does anyone know if resetting the TPMS is required after replacing the tires?
Also if your spare is used does the system automatically determine the location of each wheel or do the wheels have to be put back where they came from?
Thanks in advance.

Assuming the tpms system shows the correct tire in the correct screen, the only way to tell of the screen orientation is correct is to deflate a tire and see which number changes on the display.
If the wheels have to be replaced in the same prior location, you're pretty much toasted in tire rotations, if you live/die by the tpms. I'd suggest checking tire pressure weekly with a good pressure gauge. I'd also check the spare every couple of months so you won't get surprised by a leaky spare.

According the user manual, you should use the reset switch after rotating your tires. It should be able to find the correct locations of the wheels.

The system will detect location. no need to replace them in a specific location. I perform a 5 tire rotation with mine and it syncs up with no issues.
