I have a 2013, and I just installed my third ML amplifier last week. There are 2 fuses that may be blown. Are both OK?
I hope you disconnected the battery before you plugged the 3 connectors back into the amp. The instructions from the rebuilder for amp #3 were pretty adamant about that step. He even included a sticker on the unit itself with the same caution note repeated - “ Disconnect vehicle battery before attaching connectors!”

[QUOTE=Reggie1;1114682] Oops. Mine had no such sticker after receiving mine back. Seems to not have had an effect. I opened the hidden menu and the menu shows my AMP as OK. Might have gotten lucky.
I recheck the two fuses - Amp 1 a 30 amp fuse and Amp 2 a 15 amp fuse. Both were good. Has to be one of the relays, right? Not sure which one and I lost my multimeter. Which I probably wouldn’t know what to rest for anyway. Probably need to buy one, but know I would come back from Home Depot with things I don’t need.

Had the same issue one year ago, and it happened occasionally but not always. So I had to go to dealership couple times and finally luckily enough, the master tech was able to see the issue and inspect it. It was the amp issue, mine was over heatting so it would not start sometimes. Replace the whole amp under warranty and now after one year, the car starts to have the same issue again. I highly doubt this might be a design issue for audio system in lexus LX. My car is 2016 lx570 and I might considering getting a new generation LX when it comes out due to this issue.

I'm curious if you noticed the volume being lower before it died? I dont drive my LX every day, but i swear that if i have my volume on 25 it is drastically different from time to time. I am wondering if it is the amp being heat soaked and not providing proper output.

Ended up trading in. Couldn’t beat the value; first and only time I’ll profit off a trade-in. Especially since the dealer wanted $1,800 for a new head unit.

There is a component of the audio system located under the front passenger seat which will also cause similar loss of sound. It may have been at fault if the amplifier tested as good. Off hand I cannot recall the name of the component. Can someone help?
