Default Rx 2 lx

My wife recently traded her ‘19 RX 450H F sport for a ‘17 LX due to we’re expecting a new addition to our family. The RX was a great vehicle. Learned a lot and loved the hybrid technology. From day 1 my wife, lead foot and idle queen, averaged 27mpg over 47,000 miles. I reset the mpg the day we bought it with 10 miles on it. We’re almost a week with the LX and so far we are liking the extra space and we’re familiar with the 5.7 as I own a Tundra as well.

So far we are averaging 17mpg in the LX but not too concerned about mpg. It is what it is. Drive it, refill, repeat. It’s our first black vehicle so it’s going to be a job in itself keeping it clean. I’ve added Lexus all weather mats, buffed out the scratches, PPF the front, partial hood and mirrors, and took the Lsailt Apple CarPlay from our RX and transferred it to our LX. So far so good. Next mod will be ceramic tinting the front windshield. Also we are getting several recommendations on ceramic coating the beast especially with it being black. I’ve been lurking around this forum prior to purchase for couple months now. Looking foward to continue to learn about what this beast is capable of but like most, it will spend majority of its life pounding the pavement and mall crawling.

Congrats - we previously owned a RX450h as well. RX is a great car, but a real pain the A#$ to get kids in and out of the back with the sloped roof line. Enjoy the LX. We've put on 25k miles in the first year we owned. Lots of road trips with the kids!

How do you like the Lsailt unit? Easy installation? Been waiting on trying to get a beatsonic unit to install but always out of stock with this microchip shortage. Any videos or if possible any android auto usage?

You don’t need a tent the front windshield the Lexus LX glass eliminates 99% of UV rays unlike other brand vehicles

We transferred the Lsailt unit from the RX we had to the LX. We’ve had the Lsailt unit for couple years now. It’s not 100% bug free but it’s a warm welcome from the factory navigation. We use CarPlay wired. Wireless loses connection sometimes. Sorry haven’t tried android auto. I had someone to install it and I can tell you it required more disassembly than our RX and on my LS 460. I will include a pic of it dissembled. The installer used the Beatsonic installation video on YouTube as a guide. Install took maybe an hour if that.
