I recently had my 2013 LX570 vehicle detailed and now the radio will not come on. I have pressed the button on the radio for mute but that does not work. Please help!!!!
To add more info. Nothing has sound, the radio, aux, bluetooth, etc. Thanks again!

Any chance the detailer got water under the driver’s seat? Water and the amplifier under the seat don’t play well together, and amplifier damage will result in no sound. And if they detailed your engine bay check out the fuses under the hood.

Nothing at all works with sound. Bluetooth for phone, radio, aux. My husband said they did not shampoo the carpet so he doesn't think water got under the driver seat.

snake your hand down underneath the driver's seat onto the carpet and even 'if possible' flip the carpet cover up and feeling inside carpet if it's wet (where the amp is).

Carpet is all completely dry. The weird thing is the wording comes up on the the display perfectly. It literally as if the mute button is on but it shows that it is off. I have pushed it 10 times and it toggles from mute to non mute no issues. STUMPED! The mechanic was stumped and not Lexus is trying to figure it out.

What you describe is a broken Mark Levinson sound system amplifier. It has happened with me twice. If the amp can be repaired it is around $700, if you take it out and have it fixed yourself. The Mark Levinson contract with Lexus forbids a Lexus dealer from repairing the unit. All Lexus Is allowed to do is sell you a new one and install it. They cannot repair the old one or sell you a rebuilt one for less than new. Be prepared for a Lexus parts bill around $1,500.
The actual job start to finish takes about 15 minutes. I have no idea what the Lexus billing software uses for labor hours, but I’ll bet it is well over 15 minutes.
Please come back and let us know how the story ends. Best wishes.

Same situation. If not the AMP it may be the Sub-Assy, if not that could be the head unit. I have not confirmed for mine, but I gave in and took mine to the Toyota dealer after checking my amp and sub-assy. They found a fault after reviewing their Techstream and when they tracked the fault all was good. So, the head unit is somehow showing a fault and resulting in no-audio. Their solution was to replace the whole head-unit - $2,000. I'll have to grab their Techstream results, should have asked when at the dealership, but my mind was elsewhere.
It is worrisome that your mechanic could not find any issues, nor recommendations. If you have the option, I would take your LX to another dealer.

What did you find out about your unit? I have a 2011 LX570 and the radio doesn't work when the car is hot. In TX that's often. The screen responds to touch but no sound comes out. The screen is missing the AUX and DVD/CD tab when this occurs. The unit usually beeps but doesn't when this occurs. The dealer can't figure it out but I've taken it to a couple of other places that feel the amp is what needs to be replaced. I wrote OEM Auto Audio in NYC as recommended on another thread and he says it appears that my head unit is failing. At this point I need to figure out if I remove and send off the head unit for repairs or remove the amp and send off for repairs.

Mark Levinson CD/DVD function dead- 2009 LX570
After searching this forum, I cannot find my exact issue, but this was the closest. The cd/dvd feature on my Levinson will not activate. All other functions including radio and aux are great. The CD player will not attempt to receive a disk, will not make an my noise, nor will this function appear on the screen. It skips this feature. Also there does not appear to be the usual illumination in the disk slot. Is it possible this is disconnected in the rear of the unit? Previous owners did install headrest DVD players. Could this in anyway impact the front system? Thanks in advance!

Thought I'd update with a link to a video I came across today. At about the 20 minute mark he is diagnosing the Mark Levinson amplifier and talking about why there is no sound. It is an older Lexus sedan, but the explanation still is good for our SUVs.
