Cameras (Front, Side, Backup) and Parking Sensors are Not Working
Hi. Have been troubleshooting a recently purchased 2013 LX570 but have not come up with a solution.
The front and side cameras do not activate when pushing the button on the dash behind the right side of the steering wheel. I have tried this in park, neutral, and at low speeds. When I push the button nothing happens at all, the screen stays on whatever was there previously. The park assist button, next to the camera button, doesn't do anything either. I'm pretty sure it should provide some notification on the gauge cluster when activated. Also, the backup camera does not work. I will shift into reverse and the center screen will not change.
I have tried looking through the menus in the infotainment and cluster to see if something needs to be enabled but didn't find anything. I pulled the number 3 fuse (Audio system, parking assist system, multi-display assembly, main body ECU, mirror ECU, satellite radio, smart access system with push-button start) from under the driverside of the dash and it looks good.
Thanks, this is a good idea, I didn't realize that these hidden menus were accessible. Since mine is a 2013 I accessed a menu by holding the "Info" button while turning the lights on and off three times. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a sub-menu that provided the status of the camera system. There may be additional menus, but I'm not sure how to access them.
Hey! Im dealing with same problem. Cameras and sensors do not work. Only occasionally, maybe 1 out of 10 starts. Did you solve the problem somehow? Was it possible to find something through the hidden menu? My guess is a broken unit (mine is 86792-60490)
Did you guys figure it out? I have the exact same issue, no parking assist, no back up camera, the two button right next to the steering column do nothing, also my mirror button does nothing as well. I also had the window auto not working, but those were fixed after re initializing the window. Got new battery recently might be the cause. Not sure if there are something similar for bck camera or parking assist
