Default What to look for when buying LX 570 with over 200k miles

I am in the car market again unwillingly as my 06 GX470 needs front evaporator core changed and has damaged frame from rust. I got quoted 5k for welding the frame and fixing the AC issue but the overall frame condition was pretty bad that I might need a whole new frame which will bring the cost to 12k. Despite how much I have loved my GX 470, I think the time has come for me to say goodbye to it.

As I started looking for another GX470 to replace mine, I also looked into LX570 and now I am very compelled to buy LX instead of getting another GX470.

Since my budget is 25k at max, most of LX570 within my budget have over 200k miles on it. I am not really concerned with the engine as I know these vehicles go easily over 300-400k with proper maintenance but I am concerned about other common issues that I might run into for LX570s with that many miles on it.

I will mostly use it for commute and some off roading down the road and also plan to keep it at least 5+ years.

For owners who has LX570s with over 200k, please share some of the major repairs you had to do recently.

Cheers!

Besides the normal stuff when buying used, check the following:
Radiator for cracks on the top
Valley plate leak under intake manifold (hard to see from above but can be seen below via coolant leak)
Make sure the vehicle raises and lowers via the AHC switch
Rust on the frame and AHC lines
Make sure center diff locks and unlocks
Make sure it goes into 4lo try crawl control too
Make sure AC recirculation door isn't broken
Has trailer wiring harness attached (can be bought later)

Good question, I just purchased mine but have not picked up yet. How do I make sure the diff locks and unlocks? Do I just press the button and un-pressed? Or, do I have to be in certain gear to do this..same with checking crawl control? Thanks!

Center diff should lock and unlock at any speed\gear below 60mph, yes just press the button.

To get into 4lo you will need to be in neutral

To check crawl you will need to be in 4lo and in drive or reverse. It will be jerky and noisy, that is normal on flat ground.
