2008 LX570 journey
Hi all, just a quick introduction from a long time lurker here on the forum.
My family picked the LX new during our time living in the States. When we decided to move back to our home country, we bought her back with us. The procedure and export paperwork were a nightmare.
My Dad continued to drive the LX till 2017 ( 120k problem free miles), he then picked up a new Lexus ES350 but the LX kept in the family because we like the space it has.
Year 2019, I officially took over the LX. I lived with this truck for the majority of my life, the first thing I did after 2 months of ownership was the 2013 conversion. Parts were about 15k all in (2k more I could do the 2017 conversion but I preferred the tank look of 2008-2015) .
My greedy heart was not satisfied. Even with the more aggressive styling of the 2013 LX, I always feel like the LX has a bit of a vanilla look that is not worthy of its complicated mechanical and V8. I decided to build my own LX570 F sport. The tricky part was I had zero support from the local mod group, the scene here is all BMW , Benz, and Civic. Nobody has knowledge nor access to Lexus parts so I had to do my own research and import parts myself with my fingers crossed hoping the part would work.
So here is the work done so far, I still have a few things left on the table waiting for Covid-19 to dies down a little.
Please enjoy the photos. if you are interested in anything, I will do my best to answer.
If you have any suggestion, please do chime in.
