LX 600 F sport handling
I'm about to pick up a LX 600 F sport and I was wondering how the on road handling is specifically on backroads ( canyon roads). Would 18 inch tires help the ride and handling of the F Sport ?

I have a 22 Premium with 20 inch wheels. I can't comment on differences with the 18 inch wheels. I'm happy with the ride quality. The handling? Well, it's a body on frame truck platform, so it's not a MINI Cooper (which I also own) on backroads. It is what it is. Its a great highway cruiser.

Picked up my F sport 2 weeks ago. So far it's been great, coming from a 4Runner TRD Pro with King 2.5 suspension, the LX does feel soft. For the Custom drive mode, I set everything to normal and suspension to Sport and it made it stiffer.

Stock 22” Dunlops absolutely suck, especially in any kind of moisture. I replaced them with Michelin Defender LTX M/S (correcting name) after sliding all over the road in 1/2” of snow.

Good to know. Since I live in Canada, I have no plans on running these 22s in the winter. I will be picking up some Nokian Hakkapeliitta's, we have them on our Toyota Highlander and love them.

22” Michelins did fine in biggest winter in 40 years here in Wydaho. No complaints whatsoever. Between those tires and the LX600 4WD electronics, we did not have any issues. Going to run the Dunlops from end of May (still getting snow here) until Halloween to save the Michelins for the upcoming winter.

Safety on the road is crucial, especially in winter conditions, and having the right tires and equipment can make all the difference. If you have any more tips or experiences to share about navigating the roads in challenging weather or any other interesting stories from your adventures, feel free to share them!
