What is of question? The LX600 is 100% use of Japan parts. The problem is not the engine or parts, the problem is in the process of cleanliness when the motors is being built. The problem has been corrected

Tundra Dude 34 on YouTube has the best take straight from Toyota. There's a link in his show notes to the Toyota filing. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2024...
This recall only effects vehicles built from July 2021 through November 2022. You can check the date your vehicle was built by looking at the door tag.

I hope I didn't give that impression. There are people for whom this issue is still very real. I am fortunate enough not to be impacted by this issue as per the manufacturing dates Toyota identified in their documentation. In the links I provided (courtesy of TundraDude34) there is a Toyota document that mentions the manufacturing period effected by the recall.

Toyota/Lexus typically resolve issues when they're discovered so yes, it's not an ongoing issue. That's what the documentation says. It's not me saying it, it's Toyota's documentation.

Currently sitting at 6k miles and changed the oil at 5k. Accelerates just fine.

Well, I have a 2022 LX manufactured on 3/22 so I guess I am in the defect window.
I have 30K miles on it and it runs great. Now this issue is in my head, waiting for it to fail. Ugh.

Have you entered your VIN number into Toyota's vehicle recall web site that will tell you if your truck is affected? You won't know for sure unless you do.

My incorrect statement of June 2024 was from the Jalopnik article that I posted yesterday. This is obviously, incorrect.
