Default Lx 570 vs. Lx 600

I am getting very close to pulling the trigger on a 2021 LX 570. I have found a fully loaded nightfall blue with black leather interior three row. Low miles, 6550, and priced fair considering the market $ 88,000.00. I am torn between that or a 2021 no miles in the nori green, which I love, although that one is $ 102,000.00. The other issue I am having is the LX 600 is about to start arriving at dealerships real soon, maybe February. I feel like I am a fool to write a $ 88,000 to $ 100,000.00 check on a outgoing model, but there are some factors that are pulling towards the LX 570. Here is my list and what I think of both vehicles without seeing or driving a LX 600. In comparison :

1) interior = Lx 570. I like the interior of the LX 570 better, even with the side folding third row.

2) exterior = LX 570. I do not like the rear end of the new LX 600.

3) Price point = LX 570. I would probably be saving $ 15,000 to $ 25,000.00 by buying the LX 570.

4) engine = LX 600. I have not driven the LX 600, but from the reviews I have seen I'm sure the LX 600 will have the advantage.

5) Fuel economy = LX 600.

6) curb weight/handling = LX 600.

7) TECH/INFOTAINMENT = LX 600.

That is how I have broken it down. It seems crazy to buy the LX 570, but I really like the interior and exterior better on the LX 570 and I have spent 2 weeks in a LX 570, so I know what I am getting. Just curious if anybody on the forum has seen a LX 600 in person or even driven one and might give me some insight.

I currently own a 2019 Ford raptor and I was actually looking to upgrade to a new Gen. 3 raptor but between dealer markups and ford being absolutely lost and so far behind in meeting orders that I have given up. From what I am seeing lexus dealers are actually starting to get product on their lots, where as Ford can not even live upto current orders and they continue to make promises they can not keep like telling the public they are going to produce more ford lightning f 150's when they can not make their obligations on broncos and F 150's currently on order. Typical Jim Farley blowing hot air and they can not deliver.

Not sure I agree with the engine comparison, true the gas mileage will definitely be better but I'm not convinced the reliability and longevity will be comparable to the outgoing model.

Fwiw, I bought a '21 because I wanted the proven v8 and not a tt v6 but I plan on keeping mine for prob 10 yrs.

I bought a 2 row as kids are gone and it's the wife's ride. I got really, really lucky when I got mine last December with the lexus to remember Dec sale. I think it had a $92k sticker and I put down $4400 total which included 1st month,, tax etcc...on a 36/10 lease, payment is $707 plus fl tax. It was a 2 week southeast region deal that I stumbled across and had to fight the dealer to honor it. GL with your search.

Thank you. Good choice.

At this point, unless you want a brand new LX 570, why not wait and test drive the LX 600?

You can always pick up a gently used 570 if the 600 is not up to par.

I’d guess that some folks might be trading in 570s for the 600, but who knows.

My only question is how long will it take to get the all new LX in stock to actually test drive? Most, if not all may be presold for the foreseeable future, plus with supply constraints it might take that much longer.

Good luck either way 👍

To add - you can easily add carplay with a grom vline unit. To the current lx570.
i think the v8 is a rock solid engine. I am keeping my lx570 atleast 5-6 years more and then pick up a refreshed lx600 model. ( all the little bugs would be worked out)
Regret selling my 06 lx470, they are impossible to find and are keeping their value. I think the same will happen to the later years of lx570.
if i was you i would pick up a low mile certified one for about 65-70k.
the new lx600 are at 110-120 mrsp?
But as other mention maybe make your decision once you drive and feel the lx600.

The 570 will be a good choice for years to come. My father-in-law had a 2016 model he bought at auction in 2018 and sold it in early 2021 (no longer needed) for only $9K less that what he paid at auction. He got to enjoy it for three years with not much depreciation.

I do feel a little bit of missed opportunity on the 600. They kept the same wheelbase and overall length I believe as the 570. I wish they had offered a longer version and extended it 6 inches on both wheelbase and length with the extra length in the back behind the 3rd row. They could call it a 600-L, and it would be the same length as a Sequoia and only a couple of inches shy of an X7 and Tahoe/Yukon. I'm hoping for a Lexus version of a Sequoia.

I like the fold flat third row, but I have kids. I do like the F-Sport package. If I pull the trigger, it would be a white F-Sport with black interior. I wonder if they will have the iForce Max in it at some point? The problem would be where to put the batteries.

I own a MY15 and I love the split tailgate which the new LX600 doesn't have... My family and I always sit at the tailgate which will be missed if we were the get the new 600. V8 is going to be a 'classic' as manufacturers are heading to electric / hybrid / V6 turbo. The old V8 is a rock, extremely durable. But of course the new V6 has 'pretty good' gas mileage, no doubt. Everytime when I fill up my vehicle the estimated travel distance would never ever get above 300 (best I got was 299 unfortunately). But the new V6 seems should be able to hit very close to 400. Technologies will be something I like to have so I would favor the new 600. Why the dash gas isn't full LED!!! And no mood lights (gimmics but fun to have). Heard they made add Pano roof later which would be great. Wonder if the new 600 'solved' / 'improved' the Mark Levenson amp - no more overheating? I also don't prefer the direct injection engines - don't last as long as the fuel injection ones due to carbon build-up.... Also due to everything being new (especially the Engine / Tranny) I have some hesitation to switch right now.

This engine has been in use in LS's since 2018, so it is not new. MPG is about 36% better than the LX570. Toyota would not risk bringing out an engine that would make them less reliable worldwide, they have done their due-diligence. I love the 570, but would personally go for a LX600 F Sport. Now, if the 570 was 25k cheaper... i would go 570.

You may grow to love the LX600 rear look... it's growing on me.
