Arguably, more luxurious and better looking than the LX, hybrid motor (inline 6), faster, as capable (or more) off road, 35in of 3rd row rear seat legroom with more storage when all rows are up. Much lower reliability, however. Honestly, while I know this is a LX forum and I have my eye on the Lx, you’d be foolish not to cross shop if you are spending 6 figures. In my view, I’d wait and consider a new LX Fsport (at or around invoice) vs slightly used RR LWB

Tinted windows come with the truck, N2 filled tires make no difference whatsoever, door edge guards (?), and Stargard is a theft protection device designed primarily for cars waiting to sell on a dealer's lot.

Sounds to me like a major 'gotcha'.

I called him to put a 1k deposit and him knowing i was out of state( florida ) proceeded.

Then he texts me and says that his manager will only do the deal if I pay cash and do a larger deposit, no more info, i tried to call him and he denied my call twice, texted him no answer ( this is all to his cell )

I have a question is getting a loan thru the bank considered cash deal for a dealer?

I don't think that's a bait and switch, it sounds like he just doubts your ability to pay for the vehicle. You can get 3rd party loans (Lightstream etc.) where they transfer the money to your bank account and it then works like cash to the dealer.

If you go through with the deal, make sure you get the price sheet at MSRP signed with the store manager’s signature prior to delivery.

I would just have the proceeds lined up from a bank in FL. They just want a wire of proceeds.

Anyone try any of the dealerships in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area? I called a few dealerships but sales doesn't even pick up the phone anymore it seems.

I have a deposit with Pohanka of Lexus in Chantilly VA. Paid it back in early December. Probably another few months before they start getting their first allocations in.
