Never give up. I will call another one till I get in with MSRP value.
Wow, I didn't know they were selling to TX residents only...try calling Lexus of Cherry Hill, NJ, 856-727-1111 ask for Wayne Gross, he is one of the managers there and a good friend of mine - mention my name and ask him if he can hook you up. Not sure what their wait time is though and hoping they haven't resorted to any markups. Let me know how it goes.

Did they add a "Sewell Protection Package" for $2k though? They used to not have any add-ons, but now I'm seeing that one.

Useless add-ons, to put it mildly.

How are people test driving/viewing the cars before buying? No dealer even has it in showroom.

A very few test drive a truck that hasn't been sold yet, at least in theory. Looks like if you're on the allocation list and pass, it either goes to the next on the list or someone very lucky at least to test drive.

Allocations are not based on the size of the dealer. They are based on how many of a particular car, in this example the LX, the dealer sells. If they're selling just a few, that what they get for next year's same model allocation get for this year.

Local Dealer in Seattle that I was #3 on waitlist called this week and had 1 LX on their next allocation and while it was not exactly what I had specd originally it is very close and I jumped on it. Completed docusign yesterday and they indicated vehicle should arrive mid Oct.

Luxury Trim
Caviar
White/Peppercorn
Auto Height Control (req option for me)
Appearance Package (not something I had thought about but think will be nice with this color exterior)
Rear Seat Entertainment (not an option I wanted but have no choice although I do have a 3yr old boy who will like it)

One of our members placed an order in Jan 2022 for an LC 500 and he just received it 2 weeks ago.

That's typical. If you've got the $$$ and just can't wait, go for it. Personally, there's a lot I can do with an extra $35K.

I tend to look for a well taken care of truck that's 2-3 years old, with perfect maintenance records, and non-rust belt...that lets the original owner(s) bite off full price.

Wait time seems to be getting shorter. I originally put down a $1000 deposit in early June and was told 6 months minimum. Checked in September and was told still after first of year. Salesman callled early October was told 7th on list and would be December. Received a call earlier this week was given spec sheet on LX if I wanted it and will be in early November. Was told it has left port so we will see. I was not given option on color or model but since Lexus only offers about 5 colors there are none that I won’t take.
I believe the economy may be having an effect on buyers.

Will you be getting it for sticker price or a huge markup?
