Default v6 bi-turbo ?

Is it just me, but why didn't Toyota use a Rotrex supercharger or the like instead of bi-turbo? The turbo for this SUV makes no sense to me.

I'm not sure I understand your point. I've put 6K miles on my LX 600 over the last 4 months. The twin turbo engine is one of it's strengths IMO.

For big SUV's, trucks, and some muscle cars, the SC is the better choice.

The LX is a big heavy boat, many people like to tow something, so having instant low end power is better than waiting on turbo. Low end torque and power is a better experience for "boats".

Also, bi-turbo is way more complex than a single Rotrex or the like.
