Default Clunking Rear Drive Shaft

Since we bought our LX470, we have had a slight clunk in the rear drive/ tail shaft. I immediately did the wrong thing by filling it up with grease and the noise went away for a day or two, then there it was again. Recently ithas gotton worse. I rang Lexus and they told me it was part of a regular service to pull the shaft out, break it apart from the two sections, clean it up, put a small amount of fresh grease in through nipple and that should fix the clunk.
I am planning on doing it this weekend and was wandering if anyone else has had the problem or has managed to resolve it. How long? Easy? Etc, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Chris and Terrie.

Here you go, read all about it. It is something that is inherent to the vehicle and keeping it greased up will be the solution.
