liquid moly
#2
I have used moly additives in several applications. I once had a BMW motorcycle that had a klunky, hard shifting transmission. I added some moly gear oil additive, which made a dramatic difference. Shifting was much easier and smoother afterwards. I was so impressed that I added it to my car's manual transmission. That was a disaster. The moly worked great in the non synchronized motorcycle transmission, but made the oil in the car trans too slippery for the synchros to get enough grip to work properly. I had to flush the transmission twice to get it to work properly.
I've never used moly in engines, although I can advise against using it in motorcycle engines with a wet clutch. A small amount also made motorcycle forks work better.
