HI every one, i was wondering how do you guy do oil reset after you change your oil? i been trying to look for a reset button but i couldn't find it inside the car or in the manual book. Can any one help? thanks

 

Is this for your 2000 GS? If so there is no reset light. What light are you looking at????

yes, this is for my 00 GS300. i am talking about the oil change light. For example, honda and acura came with the oil reset button. when the engine oil need to be change, the light will lite up. this button is allow you to reset the oil light or maintance light after you change your oil. i don't know if lexus is equiped with this button or i have to memorize the mileage for the next oil change. Oil change for lexus is every 3000 or 5000 miles? Thanks

 

On your particular model lexus there is no oil change reminder light. You'll just have to keep track of it the old fashion way.

If your oil light is ON, you have a problem dude. check the oil level right the way.
There is NO maintenance light on the GS to remind you when is your next check up.

 

"Oil light" on with your Lex means low oil pressure. Have it checked immediately (first pull your dipstick and see if you have enough oil......sometimes it's as simple as forgetting to put the last quart in when you change).
