Angry Poor dealer repair

Our 2017 RX350 had the engine check light come on, ICS and AWD disabled. The dealer is 40 miles away, but we took it there and expected excellent support, we were wrong, They diagnosed the problem as a misfire on the number 4 calendar and it needed to have the fuel injectors cleaned, This car has only 45,000 miles and driven mostly at 55+ MPH, and we use good gas. It didn't make sense, but they are the experts, right? They had it three days and it was returned with all warning lights cleared, They suggested I use a tank of premium fuel every third tank or so, and make some full throttle accelerations to keep the injectors clean, After getting home, I was going to check the engine oil level, One of the air cleaner clamps was not closed, I opened it then found a loose piece of paper inside the air filter bottom, i replaced the filter with a OEM filter, cleaned the case and closed all the clamps, We were charged over $800,

Last week going to a medical appointment it happened again, But, this time would not accelerate past 27 MPH! I would be impossible to go the 40 miles on the interstate highway, we took it to a reputable service center near our home, They did full analysis and found 86 codes since cleared by the Lexus service center, All indicated a low battery. Unfortunately, they also found coils overloaded. They had the care for two days. Since we would need new plugs in 12,000 miles, we hand those replaced and all the coils as they were questionable, They believe that due to low voltage, the coils hat to strain to build up to the discharge level and had become bad, Injectors were fine, A new battery was installed, Because they have to remove the plentum on top of the engine to replace the plugs and coils, it took longer and more labor, Again all codes cleared and the car was check out and found to be great, So far, it is running better than ever now, more power and acceleration, Gas milage has improved,

Lesson learned, You can't always trust Lexus service centers,
