Car stalled/just turned off at the stop light
today i pulled up to a light and my car just stalled and turned off, but all the dash lights were on. The car has no check engine sign. The engine has been performing normally, and the gas mileage is very good.
The other day as well the car sort of puttered and then went back to normal after a second.
I know its nothing with the alternater because that was changed last year. The rpm was below 600rpm the time it puttered, and at the light the engine simply powered down.. maybe its one of the timing sensor.. strange though, there is no check engine

This has happened to our '95 LS400 multiple times recently. There were 2 fairly long threads on this very subject on ClubLex...it seems to be a VERY common problem with no real resolution.
