HELP: Where to find a parts list for an SC430?
Had to mess up a couple of weird plastic fasteners that hold together BOTH front and rear undertrays on my '04 SC430 (identical to even '02s in that regard), and need to buy them. They have a squared base and a large round area with a threaded hole in the middle. They insert over the rear (tranny and steering) tray and snap in place inside a squared hole on the frame, and the front (engine) tray screws in place at the middle hole. I had to break the round portion because I needed to remove the rear tray, and couldn't unsnap the darn things. I also damaged a couple of plastic caps that have access to such holes, but accesss is so limited I could barely reach the base of the fasteners, not being able to break them loose.
I'm sure it's a lot cheaper to buy those plastic pieces than the special tool needed to remove them. The side plugs have to be damaged to be removed, but I now how to remove them with minimum damage next time. They're perfectly reusable now, but my damn perfectionism doesn't let me do that.
Local dealer is 50 miles away and don't stock anything like that, so I'm trying to find the right part numbers so I can order it from somebody who has them in stock.
Thanks guys.
JC

Ask for the parts dept., then you can inquire about and order parts at 20% discount off retail. They are all friendly and helpful in your parts needs.
Alternatively, but possible, your NAPA auto parts store might have them. They have a book of fasteners and clips (it's not extensive, but it's a start), and they might have something that will match what you need.
