When I went out to start LS 400 it won't start. Nada. Nothing. Battery is showing good. When charger is hooked up, it starts, but even with car running, the instrument panels won't come on, lights don't come on, and you can't even get it out of park.

Lexus dealer suggested a fuse could be out (one near battery). We got the new fuse, but the old one won't come out!!!!!

We live 100 miles from a Lexus dealership, and I sure don't want to haul the thing to get it fixed. Does anyone have any ideas?

Check your charging system,fuse and make sure you don't have a leaky Power Steering pump that leaks fluid on the top of your alternator. Let us know the result.

Well, husband got the thing started. Several fuses were blown, and the battery was dead. We got the thing to a mechanic, replaced the battery, and took the car to get it detailed. When it came back, THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND WON'T GO OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume that the detailer did something to it when he was cleaning it.

Is it dangerous to drive 90 miles to the Lexus dealership with the light on?
