It gets it out pretty good. I know the padding is the problem. I know whats involved in an Evap Core Replacement, so im content vac drying it.

Im gonna have to stick with Stage for now and not use the AC or dry it out when I go on long trips . I called a few places around, and no one will do a replacement. Lexus wants 1800 for the evap parts, so I am taking it to a second place to have the AC lines checked, etc. The first shop I took the car to checked out the lines and said they could not find anything wrong. Lets see what Toyota says. The problem lies with me being 160 miles from the closest Lexus dealership.

So -- before I went on vacation for a week here, I took the car to the toyota dealership (nearest lexus dl is 150 mi away.) They could not find anything wrong with the car, and this is the second place I have taken the car for the service. Both places blew out the lines, and said they could not find the problem. The toyo dealership pulled up the mats and ran the air all day.
Here is where it gets interesting. I drove 4 hours one way, and then another 4 hours back to get to my airport destination. Honest to goodness, no water. The question for you guys with this experience is:
Is my problem solved, or do I have a slow, slow Evap Core leak waiting to burst??

checking in again on this one
Hello All, It has been some time since my last post. "the water in my gs" was fixed in 2004 and I have had no problems with it since. My original post told you the cost etc. and if you read back I ended up paying $600 to fix, as you recall the dealership wanted $3000 total. The hardest part was getting to the leak. It took all day to pull the car apart. But once done, it was a breeze. No more problems. Still runs beautifully with 220,000 miles and counting. Let me know how the rest of you faired.
