I have replace many cabin A/C filter on other model, but on my 92 SC300 there is a place for it, just no filter cartridge in there.

The filter on any lexus car consist of 2 part, the hepa filter mesh and the plastic frame.

I am sure that the white hepa filter can be purchase from lexus but the plastic frame is the problem.
where do you get the frame? will other year of SC have the same frame?

Guys:

I have a 93, and I changed it myself. I bought it from the dealer for about $45. $75 does sound real high. It is worth changing, as it cleans the air, and helps with those with allergies. My cabin air always smells fresh.

I know we all want to save money, but guys, it is only $45 bucks. Spend the money, replace it, do it right. You can't even go out for dinner and a movie for $45 anymore.

Default In the race to get the product out, some features were omitted that first year...

Along with no passenger-side airbag, our 92's also do not have said filter.

I looked for the filter but apparently the 96' do not have the cabin air filter. There were little dirt that fell out when I removed the plastic cover. I think it's only the Soarer that have this.

The 96 does have the filter. Many owners decided not to replace the filter due to cost. I assume it is over $100 for Lexus to do it. If there is a receptacle, the car had a filter installed. My baby is a US model, 1993 SC400, and it has a filter in it. I have replaced it a few times as well...

Do the filters fit a 92 SC3? If it does fit, anyone know the part number?
