I've searched already, and couldn't find the answer to my question. Does the intake manifold have to be removed to access the valve cover gaskets? I did the dreaded sparkplug change the other day, and planned to do the valve cover gaskets while I was there, but couldn't figure out how to remove the piece that connects the throttle body and intake manifold. One of the bolts was impossible to reach.
Any help is appreciated!

One of the bolt is hard to get and don't forget about the EGR valve that you will have to remove too. If you stand on the driver side take a close look at the EGR valve and the pipe that run down to buttom part of the cylinder head. If you think the intalk manifold bolt is tough, those bolts that hold the EGR pipe to head are tougher.

Good luck. I didn't think the nut connecting the EGR pipe to the manifold was bad, just use a large crescent wrench. But, a tip here, to seperate the EGR pipe and intake, you have to loosen or remove the bolt that is farther down on the EGR pipe.
It's a PITA

Do you happen to have any pics of what needs to be removed? I assume that the EGR pipe is that big metal piece between the TB and Intake Mani?
Sounds like the SC may be making a trip to a mechanic.
